At 16 we take IGCSE exams in the subjects e study, and then at 18 we
take A Level exams to help with university entrance. Students from KES
go on to study in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Egypt, Lebanon and
Kuwait University too.
The students taking part in this project are in Year 9. We are from
several different countries including England, Egypt, India, Italy,
South Arfica, South Korea and Wales. In Year 9 we take exams teice a
year. In the winter and in the summer. Our winter exams were delayed
this year because of the death of the Emir.
Kuwait is a hot, desert country with a number of modern buildings.
There is a lot of building going on all over the country! The country
has 10-15% of the world's oil reserves trapped beneath the sands. In
the summer it gets very hot. And it can get very dusty.
